Heritage Landing Kicks Off Summer with First-Ever Summer Festival

Heritage Landing residents kicked off the summer season with our first-ever Summer Festival at Indianhead Pool during Memorial Day weekend. The community event brought together military families and residents from all six Heritage Landing villages for a day of fun, connection, and celebration.

As one of the largest resident events held at Heritage Landing, the Summer Festival introduced a new approach to our traditional summer pool parties by creating a single community-wide gathering. The event provided an opportunity for neighbors across Fort Benning housing communities to meet, build relationships, and enjoy the start of summer together.

Families enjoyed a variety of family-friendly activities, including giant water slides, an inflatable obstacle course, pool games, a bubble station, sidewalk chalk art, and live entertainment from a DJ. Residents also explored offerings from local food trucks and home-based businesses, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere for attendees of all ages.

A key highlight of the Heritage Landing Summer Festival was the strong sense of community on display throughout the day. Children made new friends, families spent quality time together outdoors, and neighbors connected while creating lasting memories in a welcoming environment.

We extend our sincere thanks to the vendors, food trucks, volunteers, and Heritage Landing team members whose support helped make this inaugural event a success. Their dedication and enthusiasm contributed to an exceptional experience for our residents.

The Summer Festival reflects Heritage Landing's ongoing commitment to resident engagement, community building, and creating meaningful experiences for military families living at Fort Benning. Events like these help strengthen neighborhood connections and foster a sense of belonging throughout the community.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make our first Summer Festival such a memorable event. We look forward to welcoming residents back for even more family-friendly community events and celebrations in the future.
