Heritage Landing at Fort Benning Hosts Annual Back-to-School Block Party for Military Families

Heritage Landing welcomed hundreds of residents to the Indianhead Community Center for our annual Back-to-School Block Party, helping local students head back to the classroom prepared and excited for the new school year.

Approximately 400 students received essential school supplies, including backpacks made possible through the generosity of our contractor partners and the success of our annual Golf Tournament. The Family Advocacy Program also provided lunch bags, helping ensure students had even more of the supplies they need for a successful start to the school year.

Families enjoyed much more than school supplies. Bounce houses, food trucks, and local Home-Based Businesses created a fun, community-focused atmosphere where neighbors could connect before the busy school year began. This year's move to the Indianhead Community Center proved to be a great success, offering plenty of natural shade that kept everyone comfortable throughout the afternoon.

We were especially honored to welcome our Gold Star Families with early entry, providing them with a quieter opportunity to receive supplies before the event opened to the community.

Events like the Back-to-School Block Party are only possible because of the incredible support of our contractor partners, community organizations, and dedicated staff who work together to serve our military families. Their generosity and commitment help ensure Heritage Landing remains a community where families feel supported throughout every season of military life.
