Valentine’s Family Dance Brings Fort Benning Families Together

At Heritage Landing at Fort Benning, creating opportunities for connection is just as important as providing quality housing—and our recent Valentine’s Family Dance was a perfect reflection of that. Held on February 6 at the Indianhead Village Community Center, the event brought together approximately 40 families for an evening centered around fun, connection, and quality time together.

Designed as a celebration for the whole family, the event welcomed parents, children, siblings, and loved ones of all kinds. While events like this have traditionally focused on specific pairings, this year’s Valentine’s Family Dance emphasized inclusivity, ensuring that every family felt invited to participate and enjoy the experience together. That sense of belonging was felt throughout the evening, as families filled the dance floor and shared in the energy of the night.

With a live DJ setting the tone, the dance floor stayed busy as both kids and adults joined in, creating a lively and upbeat atmosphere. Beyond dancing, families were able to capture memories at the photo booth and selfie station, which quickly became a favorite part of the evening. Laughter, creative poses, and shared moments made these spaces just as memorable as the dance floor itself. Light refreshments and finger foods added to the experience, giving families a chance to relax, recharge, and continue enjoying the event.

Events like the Valentine’s Family Dance highlight one of the most meaningful aspects of living in Fort Benning housing—the opportunity to build genuine connections within a close-knit community. In a military lifestyle where time can often feel limited and schedules are constantly changing, these moments provide families with a chance to slow down, be present, and create lasting memories together.

At Heritage Landing at Fort Benning, our commitment goes beyond providing homes. We are dedicated to fostering a community where residents feel supported, connected, and proud of where they live. From family-friendly events to everyday neighborhood interactions, we strive to create an environment that reflects the strength and resilience of military families.

As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue offering events that bring our community together and celebrate the families who make Heritage Landing at Fort Benning such a special place to call home.
